Red lips and zips

Back to an outfit post today and one that is pretty much my standard , comfort zone look ( as you may have already gathered). Skinny jeans, top , jacket and boots. Today's skinnies are Topshop coated black ones which have zips on the ankles and zipped front pockets, they go with everything and have a great fit to them. I wore these with my silk zip front black top from The Kooples which again I have worn with everything and in every season, a really versatile top which I highly recommend. The jacket I wore today is a heavy knit biker style jacket with zip front by Maje. So as you can see I did’nt realise until I looked at my full outfit that I was sporting a whole lot’a zips!!  With all the black I was wearing I decided on a splash of red lipstick to give me a lift and there you have it… Red lips and zips.

We have been to see Jacks Neuro surgeon today at Sheffield, and he seems to be quite pleased with Jack’s progress, and best of all the tumour that is left is behaving itself and is not yet growing, so fingers (and everything) crossed.

What have you been wearing on this lovely day? Do you feel more comfortable in jeans/trousers or skirts? 
It would be interesting if you could send me your comments, I would like some more skirt inspiration. I do tend to wear skirts just for “occasions” and not day to day.

    What a great look! I love the darker colours contrasting with your hair and skin colour, and how nice is that jacket!! Its really cool!

    Hope you find some skirt-inspiration - I think they are a great style item - I saw a lovely pleather tan skater in Oasis recently which I thought was stunning and I always think pencils are the bees knees.

    Glad you like my jacket. Skater skirts tend to sit really weird on my hips and make me look much bigger ( never a good thing) but I agree pencil skirts are great and very sexy but not very everyday, I already get strange looks at the school gates ( I live in a very rural area) .     I like mixing skirts with graphic or asymmetrical tops or even print tees to add some edge. They also look great with leather jackets.
